Data analysis")?> Solving complex tasks was mainly a matter of collecting relevant data for a long period of time. Since availability and visualization of the data was constrained due to the technical state of the art progress was more a question of collecting data than analyzing them. This has changed deeply in the past years. Thus the main focus of data processing has been torn towards the development of efficient algorithms for data analysis, mainly to process more data with the same equipment, but also to make the heuristic potential of the data more accessible through intelligent querying methods.

Data analysis as a research area of both computer science and mathematics is formed by these two aspects: handling large amounts of data and intelligent querying algorithms. Both tasks can be found in our project about public loan banking. The trend analysis of the behavior of public loan contractors is based on a preferably complete acquisition and analysis of relevant personal features. The understanding of complex genetic and cytological processes in the empirical sciences around the new research area bioinformatics is found by analyzing a multitude of single items and their behavior. From this it is hoped to yield a better understanding of the overall behavior of the whole organism under certain conditions. In the field pattern recognition also large amounts of data are analyzed as a training set to recognize and classify known structures in new data.
